No Powerball Winner as Jackpot Hits $835 Million
The Powerball jackpot climbed to an estimated $835 million after no one won the top prize in the Monday, Sept. 25, drawing. The winning numbers were 10, 12, 22, 36, 50, and the Powerball was 4.
This is the fourth-largest Powerball jackpot ever and the ninth-biggest U.S. jackpot ever. The last time someone won the Powerball jackpot was on July 19, 2023, when a player in California won $1.08 billion.
The next Powerball drawing will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 10:59 p.m. ET. Tickets cost $2 each, and players can add the Power Play option for an extra $1. Power Play can multiply non-jackpot prizes by up to five times.
To play Powerball, players must choose five numbers from 1 to 69 and one Powerball number from 1 to 26. Players can choose their own numbers or have the computer pick them for them.
If someone wins the Powerball jackpot, they can choose to receive their prize in 30 annual payments or a lump sum payment. The lump sum payment for the $835 million jackpot would be $390.4 million.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338. However, there are many other prizes that can be won, even if you don’t match all six numbers. For example, matching five white balls wins you a $1 million prize.
